It's possible to undermine the word of God or have less regard to the word of God, especially when we feel - 'I have heard that so many times' or for some other reasons. But that does not change the fact that the Word of God is powerful [Hebrews 4:12]. Have you ever been studying the Bible, and suddenly a particular passage or even just a word suddenly makes new sense to you. At most times God uses that to point to/address our present situation/need or thirst for Him. I call that 'a Word from God', well it could be a sentence or more. Sometimes it could be a clear voice/thought while worshiping/still in His presence. Hebrews 4:12 lets us know that the Word of God is quick and powerful .... However, the power of the word of God is made evident when it comes from God and addresses you.
