In the book of Matthew 11:28, Jesus said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." :29-30 He says: take my yoke, learn of me, my yoke is easier/light. To receive the rest He gives, we have to approach Him [Come unto me]. How then can we approach Him for His rest? Not physically but by Faith. Hebrews 4:1-3 explains that it is by Faith in Jesus through the gospel (because that is how faith is realised - Romans 10:17). Romans 7:23 - 8:1-2 7:25 "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Discover another secret in the Word of God in the book of Revelation 12:11; "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." The questions; - Overcame who? - the devil (v9 - devil, Satan, the dragon, the serpent, v10 - the accuser of brethren) - Overcame how? - *by the blood of the Lamb and *by the word of their testimony... - Why the last statement, "and they loved not their lives unto the death." - this is because, it was a war being fought. - What kind of fight? - the good fight of Faith. Genesis 12:2-3 reveals the seven-fold blessings of God, which I love to call the seven fold "AND" blessings: ~ And I will make of thee a great nation, ~ and I will bless thee, ~ and make thy name great; ~ and thou shalt be a blessing: ~ And I will bless them that bless thee, ~ and curse him that curseth thee: ~ and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. This 'Perfection Promise' is only made real on the basis of obedience to a command (Genesis 12:1), and it is only when obedience is complete through faith (James 2:23, John 8:31) that there is a proof of readiness for His 'Perfection Promise. In the book of Ephesians 3:20, two clear secrets were revealed ~ God has the ability to do beyond the human imagination [divine provisioning] . ~ His ability to perform is in accordance to the presence of His power at work in a believer. "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us ," - Ephesians 3:20 This implies that God's power needs to be fully made manifest in the life of a believer before there can be an experience of His divine abundance. What is God's power ? God's power is the manifestation of His personality, through Christ(The Living Word-John 1(:14)), by the Holy Spirit.
