Genesis 1:4-31.
One common question often sneaks into our minds when we face the uncertainties of life: “Is this it? Is this the final fate of our world or of my situation?”
The creation story gives us a definitive antidote to those fears. As God forms the world over six days, He models His definition of “done.” What we see is a masterpiece of perfect order, wholeness, and goodness. While this reflects the universe before the fall, God is unchanging. Therefore, these truths help us understand how He works in our lives today.
With God, every evening will eventually break forth into a morning of order, wholeness, and goodness (Psalm 30:5). The creation story reminds us that God is continually at work in His creation, especially in His new creation (Romans 8:29-30; Philippians 1:6).
God bless you exceedingly,
Sam.

- His work is ordered.
- His work is whole.
- His work is good.

Reflect & Pray
Where in your life do you ask, “Is this it?” How does the creation story help
you trust that God is at work for you?
Thank You, God, that with You, an evening of chaos, emptiness, or pain will always dawn with a morning of
order, wholeness, and goodness. Give me the faith to trust that You are at work. In Jesus’ name, amen.
God bless you exceedingly,
Sam.
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to
completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6.
